What problems might a dust collector fan be causing?

Jan 30, 2026

The following are possible causes of ineffective dust removal by a dust collector fan:

1. Insufficient airflow and pressure. The motor power is not matched to the dust removal requirements, resulting in insufficient suction. Leaks in the ductwork, excessive bends, or insufficient pipe diameter increase airflow resistance.
2. Clogged filtration system. Filter bags and screens that have not been cleaned or replaced for a long time accumulate clumps on the filter media, affecting airflow.
3. Incorrect suction path. The suction inlet is located too far from the dust generation point, preventing the suction coverage area from reaching it.
