The ID fan operates based on the centrifugal force principle. Here's how it works:

.Flue gas enters the fan inlet from the furnace or boiler outlet.
.The impeller rotates at high speed, generating a low-pressure zone.
.This pressure difference pulls the hot gases through scrubbers or filters, removing dust and pollutants.
.The cleaned gases are then discharged into the atmosphere through a chimney.
.By maintaining a slight vacuum inside the combustion chamber, the ID fan ensures steady airflow and prevents backpressure, which can negatively affect combustion efficiency.
