Recently, SIMO BLOWER successfully completed the manufacturing, quality inspection, and performance testing of centrifugal fans for a large-scale electrolytic aluminum project in Russia, custom-designed to support its gas purification system. The fans are about to be shipped to the project site.

The delivered equipment is primarily used in the gas purification system of the electrolytic aluminum production line.

During aluminum electrolysis, high-temperature flue gas containing pollutants such as sulfur dioxide (SO₂) and gaseous fluorides is generated, placing extremely high demands on the temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and long-term operational stability of the fans.

Leveraging its extensive experience in metallurgical industry projects, SIMO BLOWER provided the client with a professional fan system solution.

[Flue Gas Purification Fans]

As one of the core pieces of equipment in this project, eight flue gas purification fans are responsible for the main exhaust ventilation of the gas purification system.

Key Parameters:

✓ Operating Airflow: 405,600 m³/h

✓ Maintenance Airflow: 463,500 m³/h

✓ Delivery Temperature: 120℃

✓ System Total Pressure: 8.8 kPa

✓ Delivery Medium: High-temperature flue gas from aluminum electrolysis

The ultra-large airflow, high-temperature operating conditions, and continuous operation requirements pose stringent challenges to the equipment design and manufacturing capabilities.

【Exhaust Fans】

Four additional exhaust fans are used in the exhaust treatment system for the back-anode electrolytic cell.

Key Parameters:

✓ Airflow: 70,000 m³/h

✓ Delivery Temperature: 100℃

✓ System Total Pressure: 4 kPa

✓ Delivery of flue gas containing SO₂ and gaseous fluorides

For the corrosive media containing fluorine and sulfur, we have specifically optimized the fan structure and corrosion protection design.
